No Trip Would be Complete Without is an installation at Fa Projects. A text is compiled from Lonely Planet city guides by being downloaded, cut up and reassembled at random as it is written out in pencil onto the wall. I have learned that the editors, like me, have visited only a handful of the cities they write about. Their homogenous house style renders the cities all much the same with little evidence of change from place to place, save the names of the monuments, the dates of the battles and currency of the museum entry tariffs. At all times you feel yourself to be on familiar territory yet the location is difficult to place.
